About Nonsi
Who Am I
I am Nonsikelelo Nxumalo, AKA as Nonsi or Queen of Tsikitsiki.My passion for cooking started in my teen years when friends will turn to me during mealtimes. In 2014, I moved to Finland to start a new chapter in my life. It was the beginning of greater things to come. I have since traveled to different countries where I got exposed to different cultures and different dishes. It didn’t take me long to decide to enroll and begin my journey of becoming a qualified Chef. During lockdown in year 2020 I decided that it’s time to share my knowledge and cooking skills with the whole world. That marked the birth of Cooking with Nonsi, which is on FB, Instagram and YouTube. On these platforms, I share my childhood stories while cooking – some are humorous and others are heartbreaking.
My People
My people don’t seem to get enough of me, I guess my positive and vibrant personality is contagious and the stories of course. Cooking with Nonsi has open doors to amazing business opportunities, invitation to various media houses and opportunities to feature in various newspapers and magazines. I always take pride in the dishes that I prepare ensuring the presentation, flavor and aroma is on point. The distance between me and my people made me think of a better way to create items that will close a gap between us. The merchandise can only mean that Nonsi can be found in someone’s home all over the world.
